Chong Choe , Partner , Choe, Holen, Yoo & B Chong Choe is currently a Partner with Choe, Holen, Yoo & Burchfiel, P.C. and specializes in corporate, real estate and commercial litigation issues. Prior to his current position, he served in the capacity of an Attorney Advisor for the United States Small Business Administration. Previous to his position with the United States Small Business Administration, Chong served in the capacities of Assistant to the Senior Vice President for Administration, Director of Equal Opportunity and Assistant General Counsel for the University of North Texas. Other previous positions include experience at both large and small law firms and clerking with both the First and Fourteenth State of Texas Courts of Appeals in Houston.

Chong is currently the President and a Board Member of the Korean American Coalition–Dallas/Fort Worth Chapter. Chong also serves as a Board Member of the Korean American Coalition–National. Additionally, he serves in various capacities with several other non-profit community organizations; some of the more significant positions he currently retains include serving as Executive Vice–President for the Dallas–Fort Worth Asian American Citizens Council, as General Counsel for the Korean Society of Dallas, as a Board Member of the Greater Dallas Asian American Chamber of Commerce, and as a Board Member of the Asian District Development Association of Dallas.

He graduated from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill with bachelor’s degrees in History and Chemistry, as well as the University of Houston Law Center with his Juris Doctorate. Additionally, he obtained his master’s degree in Criminal Justice from the University of North Texas.

A 1991 graudate of Stanford University and a 1994 graduate of Harvard Law School, he litigates and tries complex business disputes on behalf of corporate and individual clients, including prominent Hollywood financiers and production companies, Fortune 500 companies (both public and private), South Korean conglomerates, hedge funds and regional banks. Because his clients come from a wide range of industries (including the technology, banking, entertainment, healthcare and manufacturing sectors), his litigation experience is varied and includes contracts, securities, intellectual property, real estate and other commercial matters.
Ekwan has extensive trial experience. As lead counsel, he has tried over twenty cases to final verdict or award. His trial experience includes jury trials, bench trials and arbitrations before the NASD, JAMS and the AAA, both domestically and internationally.
Ekwan has been named a “Southern California Super Lawyer” by Los Angeles Magazine since 2004 and one of the nation’s “Best Lawyers Under 40” by the National Asian Pacific American Bar Association, a 10,000-plus member bar organization. He is an appointee to the State Bar of California’s Commission on Access to Justice and a board member and a past President of the Korean American Bar Association. In 2003, he was selected by the federal judges of the Central District of California to serve as one of its 33 lawyer representatives to the Ninth Circuit Judicial Conference.
Read more Eugene Yoon , Associate , Cravath, Swaine & Moore Eugene Yoon is an associate at the law firm of Cravath, Swaine & Moore LLP. His practice currently focuses on securities matters, including private placements and public offerings of debt and equity securities.

Prior to his transition to law, he worked in Morgan Stanley’s investment banking division in Asia, executing on securities offerings, M&A transactions and debt restructurings. In addition, he has had a broad range of experiences in various inter-governmental and government organizations, which include the U.S. Department of Justice, the U.S. Department of State, the United Nations and the South Korean Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Trade. While in college, he took a two and a half year leave of absence to serve in the Republic of Korea Army.

Eugene recieved a JD degree from Harvard Law School and a MPP degree from the John. F. Kennedy School of Government at Harvard. He holds a BBA degree, summa cum laude, from Seoul National University in South Korea. In addition, he has also studied at Georgetown University the Stern School of Business at NYU, the University of Michigan and the London School of Economics in London, England. While in law school, he was Co-Chair of the Asian Pacific American Law Students Association and remains involved as a Co-Chair Emeritus

Originally from the Washington D.C. area, Eugene spent many of his formative years in Seoul, South Korea. He enjoys travelling and football(soccer) and supports the Boston Red Sox.

Monica Cha is a Senior Corporate Counsel at Google Inc.’s headquarters in Mountain View, California, where she represents Google on U.S. and international business/commercial transactions. In 2007 – 2008, Monica was seconded to Google’s EMEA headquarter office in London, UK. Prior to joining Google Inc., she was a corporate associate at the international law firm of Morrison & Foerster from 1999 to 2006. Her practice included a broad range of corporate and securities transactions focusing on U.S. and international M&A, venture capital financings, strategic alliances, and public and private securities offerings. During law school, Monica was a clerk at the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission at the headquarters in Washington D.C., as well as at the Commission’s Pacific Regional Office in Los Angeles.

Monica received her B.A. from University of California, Berkeley in 1996, and received her J.D. from Cornell Law School in 1999. She also attended Eötvös Loránd University in Budapest, Hungary, and Kyushu Imperial University in Fukuoka, Japan. She is an avid traveler who is proficient in Korean and hopes to quickly improve her Japanese and Spanish language skills. Monica is admitted to practice in California.
